Mature Resorts
Dear Sir,
If I didn’t know it was November, I would have thought it was 1 April! How on earth is Calvia going to make Magalluf a mature resort.
There are hotels aimed at 18-30’s, & 24/7 all inclusive. Surely these are not for the more mature.
There are a lot of things that they need to get rid of first ie mugging prostitutes, bar crawls & drug sellers.
I would like to see this happen, but it’s a bit like winter flights, it ain’t gonna happen.

Believe in Palma
Dear Sir,
As you know surveys are being  being held in many areas asking local residents what improvements should be made particularly focusing on health, social welfare and rubbish.
Today in the Santa Catalina area I picked up off the street many of the leaflets advertising the survey. Whoever had been paid to distribute these leaflets had not even bothered to put them in the letterboxes of the houses and businesses on the streets.
What a disgrace, the local government and sponsor Sabadell should be ashamed. The distributor should be arrested and charged with littering offences.
On this subject, is it not time for governments locally and internationally to ban “mail drops”.
Every day I return home to find my mailbox stuffed with unwanted flyers and brochures.
I immediately put these and those of my neighbours into the litter bin on the street, before the wind scatters them throughout my neighbourhood.
It’s unwanted marketing literature, it destroys the environment in countless ways and it’s time it was banned.
