Palma is ready for the festive season and yesterday the annual campaign to boost trade and visitors to the capital was launched with the help of retailers.

Palma.—Palma City Council the retail associations Afedeco and Pimeco, the bank BMN-Sa Nostra and the Association  of Toy Stores and Fairs are all involved in the campaign which is called “Palma, a centre for fun” this year and will run until 11 January.
Palma City Councillor for Commerce, Esperanza Crespi, said yesterday that everybody has been waiting for the festive campaign to be launched.
“Not only do the general public and visitors enjoy it, so to do the retailers and the bar and restaurant sectors and we hope that they all enjoy the benefits of the campaign,” she added.
This year, a host of new attractions have and are being installed around the city, including a wind tunnel in the car park along Eusebi Estancia street.
