Nightclubs and bars in Palma to extend opening hours

Palma.—All bars and nightclubs in Palma were yesterday told by the local council they can extend their opening hours by two hours on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve.
While the news is not surprising, given that the same permission was granted in previous years, this year the authorities have decided to make everyone’s lives easier by removing the need for any kind of paperwork to apply for the permit.

“It’s a reasonable measure and one that saves a lot of bureaucracy and will result in a better service for our citizens over the holiday period,” Jesus Valls, Urban Planning councillor said yesterday.
