The Alliance for Excellence in Tourism (Exceltur) said yesterday that activity in the industry rose by 2.9 percent last year. 65 million tourists visited Spain helping to create thousands of new jobs and generate 49,000 million euros in income for local and national economies and, according to Exceltur’s latest studies, there will be further growth this year.
