Age Concern has signed an agreement with tele-alarm company, Atenzia, which could benefit up to 3,000 British residents on trhe island.   Jackie Codd, President of Age Concern in Majorca, welcomed the deal yesterday saying that the Spanish company had English speaking staff at their Majorca-based call centre and had agreed to dispense with the instalation fee for Age Concern members.
“I am very pleased with this agreement. It means that our members can seek help at the touch of a button and their call for help will be answered by an English speaking person,” she said.
