The 32nd International Palma Boat Show opens tomorrow and this year it is bigger and better than ever. The Balearic Minister for the Economy, Joaquin Garcia, officially presented the event yesterday and said that the expectations for the boat show are “very positive” and will exceed last year’s numbers: from 36.000 to 40.000 visitors during the five days of show.
Electricians, decorators, carpenters, divers, plumbers, security and transportation workers -among many other professionals from different fields- have been working tirelessly over the past few days to finish the infrastructure for the 207 exhibitors -each of them in tent- and 180 vessels, including 70 mega yachts.
Garcia also announced yesterday that this year’s nautical show, will feature the largest exhibition of super sailing yachts in the world.
A total of 180 vessels will be moored up in the floating exhibition centre in the old port, and 63 of those are going to be super yachts.
There is also going to  be a series of events taking place during the show such as Tapamar and the Maremostra film festival, which opened at the Teatro Principal last night.
