Spanish Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy has said painful structural reforms have enabled his country to no longer be the “sick man of Europe.” He noted that Spain was on track to log the highest growth rate in the EU.

Ahead of a two-day visit to Germany, Spanish Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy said the recent economic upswing in his country would never have been possible without the harsh structural reforms the southern Eurozone nation had agreed to in return for financial aid from international lenders.
