His distraught owners, not least their heartbroken six-year-old daughter, placed a series of advertisements in the local media, including the Bulletin, alerting the general public to the fact Gio was missing and that a 3,000 euro reward was being offered for anyone with any helpful information.
However, on Monday evening, Gio was spotted on a rural estate and the Jack Russell was returned to his rightful owners.
