The enlargement of the Hotel Formentor, which had seemingly been given the go-ahead by the Balearic tourism ministry, is once more being put on hold. It will not get a licence from Pollensa town hall until the local authority, with the help of the Balearic Environment Commission, has decided on the urban planning future for the whole of Formentor, greater priority for environmental conservation having surfaced at the town hall under new mayor, Miquel Angel March.
