The people of Bunyola yesterday celebrated one of the stranger fiesta events that occur in Majorca. Since 2005, the fiestas for the town's patron, Sant Mateu, have included an "underwear race". This isn't really a race at all, as the winning isn't important just the taking part, and this means taking part dressed only in underwear, albeit that there are now adornments, depending on "themes" that participants might adopt.
