You can have your cake and eat it!

There was a cake-baking competition, plenty of coffee and plenty of fun. Organised by Edward Ingram with the help of Vicki McLeod tickets cost five euros and included a cup of coffee and a slice of one of the beautiful cakes.

It proved hugely successful and a large sum of money was raised for local cancer associations. The judging of the best cakes took place later with bumper prizes including a subscription to the Majorca Daily Bulletin.

Organisers were hoping to break records with a massive attendance and judging by the crowds at Mood Beach, it certainly looked that way.
