When ESRA (The English Speaking Residents Association) published their 2015 Year Book, it was a popular decision to have as the cover a painting by Alfonso Loeffler.

Alfonso died earlier this year and it was proposed by the Loeffler family that the painting used for the cover of the Year Book should be raffled and that the proceeds should go to a charity, designated by Alfonso's wife Dorothy.

The painting was raffled and Dorothy and the Loeffler family chose The Allen Graham Charity 4 Kidz to receive the proceeds of the raffle.

It was typical of the charity to sponsor a particular project for a particular young person, and at the weekend, David, a young man sponsored by the Allen Graham Charity attended the Allen Graham party for young people in Puerto Pollensa and received a gift of money from the Loeffler family to sponsor his training to become a cook. David has already taken a beginners' course, and he has started a more advanced course and the donation will ensure that he can continue.

Speaking after the presentation, Dorothy Loeffler said: "It was a delight to meet David. He asked to keep the Year Book that had the picture on the cover that had raised sufficient funds to help him carry on with his cookery. (Very dear to my heart of course)."
