There has been another major incident on Majorca's roads. In what has so far been a bad year for road deaths, a woman lost her life and five others were injured, some seriously, in a collision involving four vehicles on the main road (MA-4030) between Son Servera and Sant Llorenç at around 5pm yesterday afternoon.

The woman has been identified as Amelia S.C., aged 60. Those who were injured are not believed to be at risk. Reports say that a Nissan Almera car collided with another car coming in the opposite direction. The drivers of the two other cars could do nothing to prevent their cars crashing into the others. Firefighters had to rescue two people who were trapped.
