A Midsummer Night’s Dream at the Belmond La Residencia.

Belmond La Residencia, the luxury hotel in Deya, offered a magical theatrical night on Thursday when the Morgan Theatre Company performed Shakespeare’s play A Midsummer Night’s Dream. The play was performed in the hotel gardens which provided an ideal stage setting, with a mountain backdrop and wonderful foliage representing the faerie wood in which the plot evolves.

The evening was a resounding success and the performance will be repeated on Thursday 27 July at 9.30pm.

Belmond La Residencia offers a series of events throughout the season - from an annual garden party, to art exhibitions in its renowned Tafona Gallery, regular music concerts, and from this year, literary events.

The first literary evening was a poetry reading celebrating the inauguration of the hotel’s Poets’ Walk, and the Shakespeare performances are a sequel, to be followed in October by the Memoir Writing Week hosted by the author Allegra Huston.
