A television crew was attacked by a group of British tourists in Magalluf yesterday morning. The crew was with an ambulance team from the 061 emergency service and was recording for a programme broadcast by Cuatro.

The incident occurred at around twenty minutes to six at the Martinique Hotel in Magalluf. The ambulance had gone there to attend to a young female. While the medical team was seeing to her, the reporter and cameraman, outside the room, were attacked. The cameraman was punched and kicked and suffered bruises and damage to an eye.

The ambulance crew activated the panic code, which led to more medics going to the scene as well as police. The group of tourists left the scene. Police were yesterday looking at security camera footage to help with identification and arrest.

Once caught. remand them in custody till the case is called. Maybe spending time in a prison that has a different regime to a British one would teach them a lesson.

Police should catch the lot of them and trow them in jail they are a disgrace to Britain and they should have there passports marked and not be allowed into Mallorca again

Enough! The only deterrent is hefty fines, prison sentences and travel bans. If you want to be understood by these people, you need to speak a language they will clearly understand. If you hit them financially (fines and prison) and take away their ability to travel and cause mayhem elsewhere, you will stop the problem dead in its tracks. We need politicians with balls.......not meatballs!

I hope that these thugs are caught soon and given long jail sentences.
