The notable fall in temperature today - around midday the highs were struggling to reach 13C - heralds a week of unsettled weather. The temperature is due to rise tomorrow (Monday) and Tuesday but then fall back again. By next weekend the snow line could be as low as 400 metres, with highs of around 14C.

@Frank. I agree with you ( twice) Majorca would be a lovely winter destination. Not easy for many to get there and limited choice of accomodation.

Looks a lovely coastal beach scene to me, not like so many British people's views in winter, and with our snow-capped mountains, country restaurants and the sights and nightlife of Palma, Mallorca makes a wonderful holiday in winter. There are many dull, rainy and colder places that tourists visit, and incidentally, where there is very often the most money being spent.

Steve. I agree there's lots of apartments sitting empty that legally can't be utilised. Not everyone wants to stay in a hotel. Also I agree not everyone goes just for the hot weather. My wife loves getting wrapped up warm and going for coastal walks. She hates hotels . You can only have dinner between 7.30 and 9pm !!!!!!
I've just booked flights to mainland Spain for a 3 night stay in January Weather won't be great but we are going for a short break . Can't go to Majorca without a 3 hr drive to anouther airport. NCl_ PMI . Not till next April !!!!! We live 15min From NCL so don't want extra 6 hr travel and car park for a short break. Also can't get my usual apartment. Sorry but my euros will have to go elsware. Just saying not everyone goes just for the sun, but everthing else needs to be available.
You seriously want to promote winter tourism when this is typical of Majorca winter weather,get real.
