Airlines at Palma airport are benefiting from a price war between handling operators. With the summer schedules now starting, airlines have switched operators, with Groundforce the one most affected by these changes. Volotea and Alba Star are using competitors and more significantly so also is Eurowings - the Lufthansa airline is due to become Palma's number one this year in terms of traffic (around 20% of the total).

If Tourists have to get to the Airport some 4 Hours before their Flights departure. It means they can spend more money at the Airport. It follows that a 7 Day Holiday, will be an even less 5 Day Holiday, with at least 2 Days travelling to , and from Mallorca.
Just passed through terminal A, alterations on departure passport control indicate they're ready for the longer queues in the summer, they've extended the queue line but haven't increased the booths! Viva España
Not sure it's benefiting passengers. Just enduring longest wsit ever for luggage.
No mention of Ryanair, Easyjet , Jet 2 , Fly Be etc. But again, the key personnel at the Airport are always badly treated. There will be confrontations, possible strikes etc. The delays at the luggage carousels will probably increase. The Airport Handling Staff are badly treated, and delays and inefficient service will no doubt continue, and flight slots missed, when passenger loading is late. It is the same every Season, but now the ludicrous PASSPORT DELAY will cause major problems ,both on arrival and departure, with departing flights missed .
