Luxury-watch thieves have struck again in Puerto Andratx. Over the weekend, two individuals on a motorcycle passed two tourists in the Saluet areas. One of the tourists, who was wearing a luxury watch, was attacked and the watch was taken. The incident happened shortly after midnight.

Local police and the Guardia Civil responded to the incident. They were given descriptions of the individuals and the motorcycle. Controls were mounted but the two thieves were not located.

Whether the same individuals or not, they have been dubbed the Rolex gang. Last year there were several thefts. Two watches, one worth 30,000 euros and the other 50,000, were stolen in Puerto Andratx. At the end of June, a Romanian was arrested after assaulting a Swede and stealing a watch valued at 25,000 euros.

Puerto Andratx has not been the only location for these thefts, as there have been others in Costa d'en Blanes and Portals.
