Almost 70% of patients who have tested positive for Covid-19 in the Balearic Islands are asymptomatic, according to the latest data from the Health Department.

A total of 449 active coronavirus cases were confirmed in the Balearic Islands on Wednesday, but the situation is different to what it was before, because the majority of patients have no symptoms of the virus.

The success of the tracking system to find patients connected to those infected and the fact that people are reporting symptoms earlier has made it possible to treat patients before the virus gets worse.

On Tuesday the Health Department confirmed 128 new coronavirus cases in the Balearic Islands, but it wasn’t necessary for any of the people who contracted the virus to be admitted to hospital.
