The Costas Authority is demanding that Santanyi town hall closes the car park by the beach in Cala Llombards and that it removes all facilities and signs. The car park is located in a "beach area", where the circulation and parking of vehicles is prohibited.

I simply can't agree with this logic. Llombards is a lovely, intimate beach. Highly desirable. Locals may or may not be happy with the traffic, but the problem with this is that it's not a decision of the local community. It's the Costas responding to environmentalists who apparently say the "dunes" are being destroyed. For those of you who've never been to Cala Llombards... erm, there are no "dunes" anywhere nearby. But worst of all, this won't stop people from coming. It will, however, force them to park in the village rather than at the beach. And that will piss off the locals even more, perhaps closing it entirely. >Think< before you act. It will save you a lot of grief.
