The Mallorca Hoteliers Federation, while broadly in agreement with planned spending of this year's tourist tax revenue, is critical of this being used for housing purposes.

Zoltan TeglasRedeveloped Magaluf would make a lovely Suburb. That would be a good use of tourist tax money. Ironic maybe but good.
Converting some of the old crappy 2 star hotels into flats would be a solution. Some of these places are a disgrace and should be condemned.
