Spanish holiday destinations popular with British tourists are saying enough is enough and introducing new laws to curb bad behaviour. The Balearics has already introduced its new laws aimed at combating the "tourism of excesses" and now they have been joined by the Canary Islands.

Peter PerfectI think Ulla’s comments sums it up .. But as for Spain saying enough is enough. As I’ve said before if you don’t want it don’t sell it. Quite simple really.
I wonder if the Germans will express the same sentiment about Playa de Palma.

Shaun1Regarding Rolex thefts, they occurs in other countries too, UK have had several of them in broad daylight as well ransacking wealthy peoples houses, when families being at home. Unfortunately Mallorca is not an exception these days.
I think the headline is somewhat misdirected. It's not just the Brits who they want to ban but ALL nationalities who have "created" this lautish behaviour, creating problems.
Visited Porto Morgan once nice quite little place back then in 93. All new squares and canals , quality shops and stuff. High spot on a very underwhelming island, in my view anyway. Unless you like pick pockets, 3 cup chancers , time share hustlers as holiday delights. So the moral to that story is like Magaluf, if you leave the family resort concept and go for 18….30 party style markets then don’t like it. Well don’t sell it. Close the drinking sheds limit visitors party sizes and all single sex group. Put a minimum room charge tax / night and minimum alcohol price in all outlets to pay for extra security, police and cleaning . Limited beers in limited area all inclusive and banning rep organised pub crawls are hardly draconian measures .. The people who sell and provide and cater to this holiday experience need to stop selling it. Then it won’t be a problem. I think it’s called supply and demand. No supply and the demand will go elsewhere.
Charlie CoolI think your request will come true, Brits are leaving Spain and I am sure the Balearics won’t miss the two billion Brits spends each year! With all the bad press coming out of Mallorca, it’s not the best place to visit or wear your Rolex!
The Balearics don't want or need Brits. Go somewhere else.
