The number of foreign residents in the Balearics has risen sharply over the past 25 years.
The number of foreigners living in the Balearics has risen from 32,102 in 1996 to 222,017 on 1 January 2022. Almost 200,000 more foreigners in two and a half decades.

Yep, why earn a decent living as an EU citizen so you can afford an expensive house in Mallorca when paradise is just a 25 hour boat trip away.
