Following the collision with the fishing boat off Cala Bona that resulted in the death of 20-year-old Guiem Comamala, it took some time for the Guardia Civil to locate the yacht. Patrols combed the eastern and southern coasts of Mallorca, key information having been that the yacht's hull was black. Eventually it was found in Porto Cristo.
After the yacht was cordoned off, a woman arrived around 8am on Saturday. She told the Guardia Civil that the owner had asked her to go and clean the yacht. She knew nothing about the fatal incident.
Investigators have been examining security camera images in seeking to determine how many people were on La Luna on Friday. Among statements they have been given is one from a woman who maintains that the son of the yacht's owner arranged parties on the yacht.
The owner is a German businessman who has a Mallorcan partner in the east of Mallorca real-estate sector. The son, aged 35, is an airplane pilot. He was apparently at the controls of La Luna when it hit the fishing boat.

Not remotely trying to support the owner or driver of this boat but a black boat without any lights could be difficult to see against the lights of Porto Cristo. However the idea that anyone could run over a fishing boat, however small, and not feel or hear anything is ridiculous. It's easy to jump to conclusions but all the available evidence seems to suggest that alcohol and excessive speed were involved. Boats and beer don't mix. As the adverts say in Australia - "if you drink and drive you're a bloody idiot."
It is the gut feeling statistics from reading MDB, but is it just me or German turists are the most troublesome and aggressive ones in Mallorca? I know that Brits are fond of balconies, occasionally bar brawls, Dutch like hotel remodeling by smashing walls, but German tourists bash DJs with metal chairs, beat up taxi drivers, and now run their boats w/o any considerations for others, like the island is their own. They forget that they are only and merely guests here and should behave as such.
Does son have a licence for boat like that?
Very serious punishment is needed to be applied to those responsible for the mans death. Equally very large fines applied to the owner and the people who threw bottles into the sea. If they can be found. But they will have already left Mallorca. BAD IRRESPONSIBLE PEOPLE.
