Residents in Playa de Palma are already having to put up with the excesses of the tourism season. In the Las Maravillas area, they say they face rudeness from tourists and are presented with scenes such as groups of tourists relieving themselves on the streets in broad daylight.
"They do whatever they want and they insult us if we say anything to them," explains a spokesperson for the residents' group.
"They're Germans. They shout, they sing, they don't care what time it is. And this has just begun." Images have been captured and have been sent to Palma Town Hall. The residents are calling on the town hall to show some "empathy" with them and do something.
"You can call the police, but when they arrive, there's nothing they can do. At night, it's the norm, and there's prostitution as well. And during the day it's totally out of hand."
In February, the town hall announced that it would be significantly reinforcing security and tackling anti-social behaviour in Playa de Palma.

One has to ask a question, would these men like it if tourists did what they are doing, outside their properties where they live? I doubt it, so do not do it here. Treat others how you like to be treated. Anyway, they probably would not care, as they could be the down and outs of where they live.
Bloody foreigners.
Alcoholic "Ass-Holes". What a great shame there is never a person of any Authority, to apprehend these filthy animals. To charge them with a big fine etc.
Not just the tourist we have a calle de jamón en santanyi to and it's the locals
This is a prime example of why the responsible tourism campaign is needed and why even more pressure should be put on the Oficina de Turismo to make the message clear about what type of people are welcome and who isn't. If that pressure is in the form of protests then all residents of Mallorca, not only those who are Mallorquin, should support said protests. There is no call to end tourism — as a few commenters on MDB seem to believe — but a call for responsible tourism and responsible tourists. In turn, ramp up pressure on the Public Safety Council. It isn't that "they're Germans," it is that they are a bunch of uneducated pr*cks with no manners and have the insane belief that Mallorca is their playground. Scenes and attitudes that are repeated day after day by visitors from across Europe and increasingly further afield. Urinating in the street is disgusting and unhygienic. These are the foreigners who should get kicked off the island. Slap them each with 1000€ fines and dump them at the airport.
Why are there no public toilets?
This area is 100% german zone, most restaurants are german, you won't hear other language on the streets. And... they are very different than tourists from other countries
