Mallorca, smarting from a poor first game and so first loss of the season last weekend in Madrid against Alcorcon, were at home to Ponferradina from the region of Leon for the first home game at the Son Moix.

Mallorca dominated the early exchanges, and this dominance was translated into a 17th-minute penalty, for a foul on Brandon, which Arana converted.

And that was just about that, apart from Mallorca managing to hold out with ten men for the final half an hour of the match after Acuña was shown a straight red for a tackle against Casado.
