Lugo 2 - Real Mallorca 1

Mallorca away to Galicia's Lugo, a team still with some hope of a play-off spot, while Mallorca still have relegation hovering over them. Colunga proved to be fairly lively upfront for Mallorca, but the away side posed no great threat, and it was Lugo who went ahead through Joselu midway through the first period. Mallorca's best opportunity came from an indirect free kick inside the box which came to nothing.

A direct free kick by Pita on 61 minutes went close to giving Lugo a second, while Mallorca strived for an equaliser without convincing that they would find one until Sabater, with a powerful shot, put Mallorca level. The same player drew a save from Juan in the Lugo goals moments later. And just as it looked as though Mallorca would hold out for what would have been a merited draw, up popped Seoane in added time to give Lugo the three points. Mallorca now find themselves at present in what is a four-team scrap to avoid the final relegation spot.
