Rafa Nadal, the ruler of Roland Garros.

On a hot Sunday afternoon at Roland Garros, Majorca's Rafael Nadal overcame Switzerland's Stan Wawrinka in a one-sided final 6-2, 6-3, 6-1.

Wawrinka, who had needed five sets and more than four and a half hours to defeat Andy Murray on Friday, was never in the match after Nadal broke his serve to take a 4-2 lead in the first set. The Swiss, seemingly carrying an arm injury as well as looking shattered, lost in just over two hours.

For Nadal, this was his tenth French Open. He has made Paris his own since first winning at the age of nineteen. He said afterwards that it was impossible to describe his feelings.
