The time travellers' masquerade at Queen's College
On Tuesday June 18th the children in Years 3 - 6 performed their summer musical, The Time Travellers' Masquerade. The Year 6 students told the story about a group of scientists who had been summoned to a masquerade ball by a mystery host, Enigma, played by Nicole. At the masquerade ball the scientists, played by Mark, Heath, Blanca, Emma and Cassidy travelled back in time to visit the Ancient Egyptian era; the Year 3 children dazzled their parents with a beautiful dance to Amazing Egyptians. The time machine then took the scientists to the medieval era where Year 4 elegantly danced to Scarborough Fair. The next stop was the roaring twenties where the Year 5 children, dressed as flappers and Bugsy Malone styled gangsters. The children danced beautifully to City of Stars. Each era, the scientists received a clue indicating how they might learn from their past, to protect the future - a future which is in our hands, right now. The costumes were wonderful and the school is grateful to the parents who support the department with such attention to detail!
Congratulations everyone!
