Zoltan TeglasHow come you believe only Londoners will be the Nomads? People from other parts of the country will find it expensive to rent on the island.

It's amazing what a bit of tabloid sensationalism can lead people to believe. So, ok, stay home in blighty (for no tangible reason) and sit there feeling sorry for yourself (and be sure to blame it on everybody else). There's plenty of gainfully employed digital nomads (and tourists) in the remaining 99% of the planet ... without the chip on their shoulder.

camila culverrIf they are from London they will think the rents are dirt cheap.

What a shock these future nomads will have when they see the price of rents in Mallorca....internet on the beach???

James JonesWhat part of Brits not wanted here' do you not understand ? Go back to your grubby little country.

@Bob C. It is indeed a great idea for you. You can come here and work from home just like I do, but you can pay less tax than me. I know some like you will own a home here, but many will not and will put pressure on an already crowded rental market. Worst idea ever and there is a lot of competition for that prize in Spain.

user Bob C | about 1 year ago

James JonesThousands of people already own homes though? Also, Nomad visas make it easy to go and work in other countries where your employer may have an office (i.e. I work for a German company with offices all over the world).

BrisketSome may already own homes and as "extranjeros" from a country like the UK can drive on a UK licence without a IDP for up to 6 months...

user Bob C | about 1 year ago

This looks like a great idea to me. As an existing pre brexit home owner in Spain and UK employee I'll be legally able to sit and work in my own home. For a lot of us it'll mean we can enjoy longer stays without having to go full native and loose our UK benefits (access to NHS or transferring driving licences).

BrisketIf they are from an EU country they will be able to drive. And so called nomads wouldn't want to buy a house.
