Yes Stephen, but they are foreigners - we are British.

It's not a "new rule", it's what applied to Americans and Australians, Nigerians and North Koreans even before the UK chose to leave the EU, and it now applies to Brits too.

Marc WilliamsThat might happen at Málaga airport too, why would you believe that's different, same country, same rules applying!

user Ulla Jackson | about 1 month ago

BeachcomberUnfortunately you can be asked that in any country further afield from the EU, as well.

Marvin Le MartianMallorca is far nicer than the Málaga region.

Marc WilliamsThis story ( tripe as it is) is about Spain, not just Mallorca. And Malaga is in Spain too. I’m sure it’s lovely there, but Mallorca also welcomes tourists equally as warmly and is far more beautiful and varied than most, if not all the provences on the mainland.

Didn't you print this same hoary old chestnut a few weeks ago?

user Niloc | about 1 month ago

Humphrey Carter, why do you write to try and put people off coming to Mallorca? don't you realise the harm you do ?

Marc Williams Marc Williams | about 1 month ago

BeachcomberI live in Spain. You will not need to show proof of money on ALL inclusive holidays and 99% of all other visitors won't be asked. Please don't listen to news that's well over 2 years old. And enjoy your holiday

Wow what a way to deter tourists from your Island. The British press are the ones who write Propaganda statements and half truths, and now you have given them more ammunition. This Law has been in force for years.but I must thank your paper for putting people off they might come to Málaga instead where all tourists are welcome with open arms
