My advice is, invest in property by buying now in Magaluf, still cheap flats to be had, with currently a great ROI (Return on Investment). The area is on the cusp of great change.

Calvia council are taking the area upmarket regardless, just look at the building work going on 5 star hotels etc . They don't want the youngsters there anymore ,that's pretty obvious ,they want the yachties and yuppies hence the talk of a marina being made at the top end of magalluf. There's always faliraki eh.life moves on.

There's no way you can condone what's referred to as the alleged "irregularities" at the club or of the owner BUT this club is a jewel in the crown of clubs and it'd be stupid to throw the baby out with the bathwater. It's clearly not a place where an old git like me would spend a night but for many younger people this is a main attraction for their visit to the island.

What the original news story was that BCM's opening licence was withdrawn until several irregularities had been rectified. Building work was done two years ago without the inspections being completed, which is illegal of course. This means, having the finances available it could re-open by May 13 as oruginally planned by them.

How can you close something that isn't yet open? And well done to the council for taking 27 years to make a decision...

Gee and the team will have it sorted in a mater of days ;)

user Richard Pearson | over 7 years ago

According to the manager, it will open in a few days, after they have fixed the irregularities.

Totally agree that premises and business should be legal and correct, but this is bad for the area, after saying that it does seem there is a LOT of history behind this not being fair on the competition, and that is what keeps everything up to better standards for employment and cliental satisfaction
