Will airport temain open?
After speaking with Jet 2 they are saying that what they are hearing from inside the airport is that although there is talk of the strike nothing officially has been declared and its my understanding spain is like Britain they have to give 10 days notice to strike and nothing has been declared yet . We fly out on the 19th so would be stuck in the county when flying back .. any official info would be very helpfull
Could anyone advise what the contingency plans will be? I am flying from Palma to Liverpool on Tuesday 27th.With Liverpool Airport being on strike when we fly out on August 22nd, I am beginning to think about cancelling our trip.Stan is right, arranging any trips these days is indeed “pot luck” 🙄
Here we go, or not go again. Always at the main Season periods are strikes occuring. Holding everyone to ransom . I wonder which organisation is to strike next?. Not heard from The French Air Traffic Controllers . They usually strike around 6 times a Season. These days planning any journey is "Pot Luck " if all goes to plan without some form of major disruption .

What are the contingency plans? We are supposed to be travelling from Edinburgh to Palma on Sunday 25 August! Very upset.
Is this just a 24 hour strike or is it longer? I'm going to Majorca this September so I'm a bit worried

Watching this situation with interest. I'm due to fly in on the 26th with Jet2 so I contacted them to ask what contingency they would put in place, shamefully they denied all knowledge of any proposed strike.
