we should open everything up and get back to normal asap. peopkle who have been vaccinated can still catch it and pass it on. lets just deal with it. oh! and also where has he flu gone since covid?

The 4th vaccine, which only requires one jab already been approved by FDA and hopefully EU will not take their usual torturous process to approve that as well, this will add millions of available vaccine to what is produced by other 3 (plus some more are in the pipelines). If Balearic's government get their acts together and vaccinate people here , not only Brits but other European national will flock to Mallorca, and this is pretty possible by May.

June 17th at the earliest.

What's the good news ? The threat of tourists arriving here before we've been vaccinated ? We can't have tourists back here until we're all vaccinated, end of. The cost of another skyrocketing of new cases here, and with the island full of tourists, would be far more than anyone could imagine. If our government fails to consider this we are in big trouble here....

I am 64 years young and receive my second COVID jab late May 2021... no way am I travelling to Spain or one of its until the UK Government approves the travel and lifts the relevant return restrictions. A sad case of wealth before health?

user Lisa | over 3 years ago

Well let’s hope they pop about a million little vaccine doses in their suitcases then. Possibly the only way the island will be able to welcome tourists safely.

Highly unlikely. Spain will have vaccinated 40% of the population by the end of June. Do the maths!!

The UK government haven't once said holidays will be allowed from May. This is the earliest date and not set in stone. Lots of criteria to meet first. Also allowing tourists to arrive from Germany without a PCR test is ludricous. All the restrictions we have all been through in Mallorca will be for nothing.
