@Stephen, yes holiday in UK when rental for tent in a holiday destination is for a week now is £700! , and a social government is much better than the buffoon who is governing UK. Please give us a break, good luck for selling your property, and good luck to those who are buying at knock down prices now, I wish I had the money to buy!

I doubt Boris will allow the vaccinated to go and come back untested and without quarantine until everyone over the age of 18 has had two vaccinations, or at least been offered two. In other words we will not be allowed to travel until end of August?

@Adam. A third of the population here is non-skilled immigrant labour. Are we supposed to treat them with priority over the our native peoples health risks. What would you say to immigrants in the UK complaining about no work for them there...

Mr Law - Lorryloads of stuff (nappies, shoes, soap, childrens clothes) sent by German charities to Majorca (specifically to Peguera etc) distributed by Pirates TV et al, And you speak of survival. Has your head been in the sand since last year. A THIRD of the population here is longterm unemployed. May be garbage to you, but it puts BREAD on peoples tables. Very selfish attitude.

We need money to survive, so let's get as many tourists here as possible so twat we can start earning money again, I'll take my chances with Covid.

So, let's think, - the MDB rejoices in the restart of mass tourism here, along with no more masks to be worn in public here. I wonder which country the editor lives in....

Well said Steve, my sentiments exactly. As our daily contagion rates start to rise again we'll be back into restrictions again for the winter, just like last year. If that happens there'll be outrage and anarchy on the streets here. Keep tourists away, - we'll let you know when we're ready thanks...

This is a glimmer of hope FOR BRITAIN, - NOT FOR US. For us it's REAL BAD NEWS. The last thing we need is mass tourism, - vaccinated, tested, passported, or otherwise - to start before we've been vaccinated here, we still haven't got our contagion rates reducing yet. Let's pray that this doesn't happen....

We'll more than survive, we'll celebrate and prosper. From someone that's lived here since the sixties in Calviá, the "tourism" that we have today is largely garbage, and benefits a minority of people, mainly from elsewhere. This island is very small, and the pearl of Spain, and deservs five-star tourism.
