Real Mallorca 1 - Alcorcon 0

Mallorca, on the same number of points as the visitors but two places above them (in sixteenth) going into the match, would have fancied their chances of moving up the table with a win. Would have done, but Culio having a penalty saved after eight minutes wasn't the best of starts.

Mallorca dominated most of the match, hit the woodwork twice, Oriol was booked because he always is booked, David Rodríguez had a penalty for Alcorcon saved after 71 minutes, and finally - at third time of asking - a penalty was converted: Lago Junior for Mallorca with quarter of an hour remaining. Manolin was sent off for a second yellow, and Mallorca held out for a deserved win.
