After Abdon scored with just four minutes gone, Mallorca totally dominated the first half and had opportunities to have won the match at a canter. The visitors only threatened shortly before the break and then on 63 minutes scored an equaliser they had barely merited. It was the first goal that Mallorca had conceded in Segunda B this season.

Despite the dominance, it looked as though Mallorca would have to settle for a point, until Sevilla proved to be a super sub by going on and immediately firing in a free kick with nine minutes left. Abdon added his second, courtesy of Sevilla's centre, only for Marong to pull one back for Saguntino in added time.
