A goal by Brandon Thomas three minutes into first half of extra time gave Mallorca a win against Reus in the third round of the Copa del Rey.

Goalless after ninety minutes, Mallorca had nevertheless created a number of chances to have won without going into extra time. In the first period of normal time, both sides set out to attack, and could both have scored within fifteen minutes through, respectively, Roigé and Babic. Brandon had the ball in the net after 36 minutes but the goal was ruled out for offside against Díaz. In the second half, Dalmau, on as substitute for Díaz, missed an open goal.
