Real Mallorca 3 - Getafe 3

The fans made their disapproval clear before the match, calling for the resignation of club managing director Maheta Molango, who was greeted with jeers when he arrived. Graffiti had been daubed on the dugout. The fans were to continue their protests during the match, National Police officers having to intervene on occasions.

Mallorca, nothing to play for except to salvage some pride, were up against Getafe, assured of a play-off spot.

Scepovic scored for the visitors after seven minutes. That didn't augur well for Mallorca, but they came back through a Brandon equaliser on 23 minutes. Mallorca were, for the most part, on top, and into the second half they made it count, when Brandon added a second on 57 minutes. Stung by this, and seeing their promotion aspirations disappearing, Scepovic scored his second for Getafe four minutes later.

In what was turning out to be an open game, Vallejo (or was it an own goal) added a third for Mallorca, only for Emi to make it three-all with six minutes to go.

In the end, it was something of an entertaining draw. Not that it mattered to Mallorca.
