So, after two matches Real Mallorca have a one hundred per cent record. Two wins, six points; two goals and two clean sheets.

How glad must Mallorca be to have retained Lago Junior. As last week against Peralada, he was by some distance the outstanding player. It was his goal after 51 minutes which settled matters. He scored from Bonilla's centre, beating Denis in the Ibiza side's goal, who hadn't been greatly troubled up until this point.

Abdón, on as a sub, squandered two chances, Jandrín could have headed in an equaliser in the 67th minute after the second of these misses. He didn't though. All that remained after this were red cards; Mallorca's Sastre received one of them.
