The 112 emergency services in the Balearics issued a "yellow alert" bad weather warning this morning for the east coast of the island and north east.

Wet and wild week ahead in Mallorca

"Be aware of the bad weather warning and use precaution," the emergency service said in a tweet on its twitter site. Bad weather has been forecast for the rest of the week with storms and heavy rains. The Met Office is expected to issue further up-dates.

Below in Mallorca scattered showers which may be locally heavy and occasionally accompanied by thunderstorms and small hail between 1pm and 7pm.
