Mallorca will be knocking the stuffing out of northern European this Christmas, weather-wise, with the long-range weather forecast suggesting that the island will enjoy a top temperature of 17 degrees and plenty of sunshine on Christmas Day.

Christmas officially arrived in Palma this past Saturday with the traditional lighting of the holiday lights, an event that drew thousands of people to the centre of the Balearic capital to welcome the festive season. From the early afternoon, the most iconic streets in the city centre, such as the Born, Jaume III, and Plaza de Cort, were filled with locals and visitors eager to witness the spectacle.

Mallorca is a horrible place to spend Christmas ive given up on it. It doesn't feel Christmassy, many shops and restaurants close over Christmas week and its celebrated half heartedly. Spend your Christmas in colder climes if you want fun.
