By Humphrey Carter GUARDIA Civil divers yesterday continued their search for the knife used to fatally stab Briton Daniel Hastelow at his Magalluf flat last weekend. The police are convinced that the 26-year-old's attackers, Britons Richard Robert and Paul Griffiths, discarded the knife into the sea and have been combing the area since last Monday.

If they do not find the weapon over the weekend, then a special super sensitive metal detector is going to be brought in at the start of next week.
The problem is that the sea bed in the bay of Magalluf is covered in dead seaweed and that is complicating the search. The divers have broken the search area up into special zones and are working through each one slowly. According to police, once they find the murder weapon, then the case against the two Britons being held on remand in Palma prison will be wrapped up.
