PALMA
A fly-on-the-wall documentary television series about British holidaymakers who are hurt and require medical attention in Majorca hits the screens for an eight-week run beginning on Tuesday night.

Sun, Sea, A&E, made by London-based October Films, spotlights the antics of tourists who are forced to exchange their sun lounger for a hospital bed. It will be broadcast at 10pm.

It goes behind the scenes at Palma's Son Dureta Hospital and at clinics in the Alcudia area as camera crews follow the exploits of Britons who have been injured whilst on holiday.

Camera crews were stationed in the tourist hotspots of Magalluf, Palmanova and Alcudia throughout last summer as they focussed on the antics of tourists and seasonal workers who got themselves into various scrapes during their time in Majorca.

The production team were helped by holiday reps, bar workers and hoteliers as some of the strangest and most tragic stories of the summer were filmed for the programme.
