AN ambulance service work-to-rule in the Balearics was called off yesterday after emergency medical personnel reached an agreement in a Balearic Arbitration court.
The session was the third in the dispute and settled friction over pay differences.
Meanwhile the Workers Commission (CCOO) has said it is organising a protest for 25th February at Son Dureta hospital in Palma in which healthcare staff will voice concern over the lack of hospital porters.
Nursing staff are claiming that lack of porters means that they are having to turn their attention away from patient care to physically transporting the injured and infirm from one part of the extensive hospital to another.
