THE 26th King's Cup and International Dog Show took place at the weekend in the Palau Municipal in Son Moix, with the participation of more than 400 dogs of different breeds.
The variety of dogs and exhibitors brought enthusiastic applause from the spectators at every turn. The originality of some dogs together with the elegance of their owners gave the judges a real headache when deciding which dog should take the trophy. However, the show of affection for pets, the warm applause for the child exhibitors, and the elegance of the huskies did not tarnish the strength of the champion Afghan hound. The winning dog's trot around the ring together with his exhibitor was followed by the unanimous applause of the public, appreciating the quality of the breed.
