As the Bulletin reported yesterday, a major crackdown is being planned for Magalluf and the Spanish government has given assurances that everything within its power will be done.

Palma.—Hugh Morgan, the Chairman of  the Monarch Travel Group, attended Tuesday morning’s meeting with Spanish Minister for Tourism, Jose Manuel Soria and the Secretary of State for Tourism,  Isabel Borrego, in London accompanied by all the directors of the UK’s main tour operators.
Morgan said yesterday that Soria put them all in the picture of where the Spanish tourist industry is and that there is still a lack of financing for promotional campaigns but he was also interested in what the UK industry had to say about Spain.
