Majorca.—The number of independent businesses  opened by  Chinese citizens in Spain has almost doubled during the past five years according to  figures revealed yesterday by the Social Security services.
There are now 41,858 self employed immigrants from the Asian country spread between the Balearics and the mainland, compared to the 21,979 in 2008.
