The Balearics continues to be the most expensive region in Spain to rent a coastal property during the summer.
According to TechniTasa, the land registry department which is part of the Bank of Spain and maintains a regular check on property sales and rental prices, the average weekly rental for a coastal property in the Balearics is 1,258 euros.

Here in the region, rentals rates rise to the most expensive - 1,800 in the Port of Ibiza for a 100 square metre apartment. In the Port of Addaia in Minorca, rentals begin at 750 euros for a smaller sized property, with rates very similar in Alcudia. In Palma, Portixol is the most expensive, with rates beginning at 1,200 euros per week. Only Puerto Banus (Marbella) comes out more expensive with rates starting at 2,100 euros per week.
