As good as early Oasis

If anyone is in a position to compare a new band to an early Oasis, then it is the man who signed Oasis to Creation Records, Alan McGee.

On McGee's It's Creation Baby label, The Clockworks, a four-piece from Galway, have been releasing their early material, McGee having signed them on the basis of a rehearsal in Galway; it was the best rehearsal he'd seen since Oasis. They have since moved to London, where their recordings at Abbey Road have included an excellent piano-vocal duo for the song Lost in the Moment, a sign that there is more to this band than their driving guitar sound.

McGee says that they are great live and are going to be massive. "They have the songs to make them big. I can't see them failing."
